What we solve for World users

AR World Issues

JD Edwards World AR module relies heavily on transactional data. Summary information is not readily available without the use of standard Dreamwriter reports, which are generic and do not answer the reporting needs of many users.

Also, JD Edwards World AR Module, relies on staged data (snapshots) to deliver two fundamental reporting requirements.

As Of Accounts Receivable

In order to roll back the AR transactions to a point in the past; providing a schedule of open items that should agree to the GL Control accounts, the user needs to create an As Of file. This is a batch job that goes through the AR transactions files and “unpicks” the invoices and receipts. This is not a quick process and is “staging” the data. It is not Real Time.

Credit Management

Credit Management also relies on staged data in standard JD Edwards. The batch job that is run creates aging balances by customer, credit manager and collections manager. In much the same way as the As Of File generation, the reports and inquiries are limited and only represent a snapshot of the information at a point in time. It is not Real Time.

On Screen Inquiries are limited in the number of columns

In JD Edwards World AR module, the screens cannot hold all the aging columns on a single screen and function keys are heavily utilised for navigation.
